Horseshoe pitching


Horse shoe pitching began in 1920. The first tournament was help in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Marjorie Voorhees was the winner. Horseshoe pitching was a tremendous sport covering all the sport's pages in the "roaring twenties". This sport was held in winter and summer where world championship tournaments were held.



The beginning of the 1920's.


In the beginning of the 1920's, the skimpy fashion of the twenties put a new look on athletic bodies. It had narrowed the gap between health and glamour. Women athletes would wear shorter and shorter clothes, for example tennis players started to wear short skirts and sleveless shirts.
