Horse shoe pitching began in 1920. The first tournament was help in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Marjorie Voorhees was the winner. Horseshoe pitching was a tremendous sport covering all the sport's pages in the "roaring twenties". This sport was held in winter and summer where world championship tournaments were held.
